What to do if you experience a Print Tray Issue in Artisan®

Print Tray Issues can include:

  • Print tray has stopped working
  • Can only complete the first unit of work
  • Missing TMP file error message
  • Print tray missing all together


Below are directions to assist in these issues. Please note, this process could take 3 or 4 times before the upload will proceed but it will clear the way for you to print.

Close the software program and bring up File (Windows) Explorer. Please browse to the following location:

C:\Users\Username\AppData**\Local\Temp and inside here delete ALL files that begin with PPS.

** Please note the AppData is a hidden folder that will need to be shown first. To do this, go into the Control Panel of the computer and select Folder Options. In here click on the View tab and select to the option to “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” and then click OK.

Then browse to the following location:

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Forever\Artisan 5 Print Shop\Print Shop and delete the Uploads.xml file.

When you get this completed, please open the Recycle Bin on the computer and delete these files from there.

Go ahead and open the software and try to upload the project. If you get the same error messages, please go ahead and close down the program and proceed with the directions above.
