Why do my photos have red “+” marks on them in Historian™?

This may occur for thumbnails of photos that have become corrupt in the software program for different reasons.

If your thumbnail is grayed out and if you double-click on the photo and are able to see the image still, please complete the following steps:

  1. Click "File" at the top right side of the page.
  2. Select "Properties".
  3. On left side click "Support".
  4. Select “Clear Thumbnail” and then “OK”.

Once you’ve hit “OK,” please close and reopen the program. Note that the software is generating new thumbnails for the photos, so the process may take awhile.

If you double-click on the photo and you can’t see the image at all, you will need to run a health check (located on the Welcome tab) and recover your photos from another backup source in order to correct the problem.
